Seaqua Delicatessen and Caterers was founded in 1983 by Pat Spates and his dedicated father Bob Spates.
Pat's father Bob was instrumental in the design, implementation, and financing of the deli. Pat provided the
sweat equity and youthful enthusiasm needed to make it in a very compeitive Long Island Deli environement.
At one point Pat slept in the store on top of the walk-in refrigerator to help save time and money.
Bob has since retired to Florida where all good deli men go. Rick Nappi, Pat's business partner and long time
friend has since joined Pat at Seaqua. Together Pat and Rick pride themselves in providing excellent
service and quality. The two Long Island natives maintain the now thriving business that we know as Seaqua Deli.
